sC's viking/raven air fleet cleans it up fairly quickly. TOP getting another factory.

TOP lands his vikings to protect them, then unsieges and moves into sC's tank line

TOP defends with one or two siege tanks and a ton of SCVs
Carnage ensues but the SCVs actually kill all of sC's siege tanks
sC builds more units and charges TOP's expansion again but is repelled by siege fire
TOP takes the gold on sC's side of the base, sC has taken his natural third
TOP had so many SCVs that despite having to use them as attacking units he isn't at a worker disadvantage

TOP sets up a position in the center of the map again.
sC tries to move into a position to protect his third, but TOP stims a large group of marines and rushes in
With his tanks unsieged and TOP's tanks sieged behind the marines, sC loses his army

Disappointingly sloppy game as both players kept on trying things that didn't really work: banshee harassment, viking/raven, attacking siege lines, etc.
Game 2 - Shakuras Plateau
Cross positions, sC at 2 and TOP at 7
Once again both players get factories. TOP's is slightly faster.

Hoping to have pulled sC's defending units to the bottom of his base, TOP drops his hellions at the top of the main

Meanwhile sC's uncloaked banshee kills about 10 SCVs in TOP's main before a viking kills it.

TOP desperately moves his units back from his natural to meet the attack as the rocks go down.
sC is sieged at the bottom of the ramp within range of TOP's extractor and engineering bay
Both players taking third bases, TOP at the 10 o'clock main and sC at the 4 o'clock natural

Despite destroying TOP's army, sC has to fall back to his third base to await reinfrocements
Stim researching for TOP, who sends a few marines into sC's natural and kills about half the SCVs there
sC moves his rebuilt army toward TOP's main along the bottom of the ramp.
TOP runs into it with his tanks unsieged and takes heavy losses
TOP concedes
Another back and forth game. This time the harassment was successful for both players. Despite TOP's superior macro, sC outplayed him in the positional game and eked out a victory.
Game 3 - Xel'Naga Caverns

sC sends some more hellions around to TOP's natural and main, but they get cleaned up easily.
sC surrenders
sC's hellion strategy looked horrible, but most of that was down to TOP's scrupulous defense. Of course, his macro advantage made it unusually easy for him to leave defending units in his bases.
Commentary: I'm not as impressed with TOP as Artosis is. His macro is good, and that was probably the difference in this match, but by Code S standards there's nothing unusual about that. Meanwhile his TvT seemed sloppy and uninspired. He should make Code S since he can choose his opponent (sanZenith, I choose you!) but unless he gets better I expect him to have a rough time there.

Byun concedes
Tasteless says it was a mistake for Byun to try to beat Lyn, a Warcraft 3 player, in a slugfest. Maybe so, but I've never been tremendously impressed by Lyn's SC2 micro.
Game 2 - Metalopolis
Cross positions, Lyn at 12 and Byun at 6.

Much better play from Byun. Sticking with infantry meant his armies were almost always qualitatively weaker than Lyn's forces, but his tactics and timing made up for it. Lyn surrenders
So much for Lyn's Warcraft 3 micro...when he initially attacked his marines were hitting the depot instead of Byun's marines or SCVs. Still, Byun did a good job...he had to since his fast expand build was very vulnerable to a two barracks rush.
Commentary: After a shaky game 1, Byun looked like the better player in game 2 and then perhaps was slightly lucky to survive the rush in game 3. As a Code A finalist who can choose his promotion match opponents, he is almost certain to make it into Code S. It'll be interesting to see how well he does there, as he seems to be better tactically than a lot of Terrans. Lyn has a chance as well, of course, but may have a tougher road. He's good, but not so good that he seems like he could do much damage in the Code S tournament.
