Game 1 - Xel'Naga Caverns
Gas before barracks for August, hatch first for Moon
Factory goes up just in time to deny Moon's scouting drone, reactor starts on the barracks
Roach warren for Moon, factory switches to reactor for August while a starport begins as well
Hellions coming for August, roaches almost out for Moon
The hellions kill two drones at the natural before roaches force them to retreat
Lair for Moon, banshee coming for August
Zergling speed starts for Moon as well as an evolution chamber
The first banshee arrives at the natural but two queens repel it easily
Tanks and siege mode coming for August, spore crawler for Moon
August moves out with three tanks, about a dozen marines, two banshees, and four hellions. Even some SCVs.
Baneling nest coming for Moon as August's army approaches
Moon attacks but his zerglings melt to the varied Terran attack
August destroys Moon's initial defenders with plenty left over, but reinforcements and drones turn the tide
Eventually Moon completely clears out the attack. He lost a fair number of drones but August is on only one base.
Moon contaminates August's factory and one of his barracks
Spire coming for Moon, stim starting for August
Moon takes his third, second command center is done for August but is still in his main
Finally a viking puts an end to the overseer's contaminations
Moon making mutalisks now. Great creep spread, incidentally...he's almost to August's gold expansion with it.
Ten mutalisks fly into August's base but are quickly driven out by marines.
Moon making plenty of banelings to augment his mutalisks, currently constructing 42 zerglings as well
Moon takes a fourth base, though he hasn't taken his gold yet. Creep is approaching August's natural.
Infestation pit now for Moon. August finally moves out with about 50 marines and seven tanks.
Moon has 50 banelings and 19 mutalisks though.
Moon makes thirty more banelings. The mutalisks snipe medivacs and rallying units.
Moon's army goes into the natural, kills everything, then wanders back down to the center of the map to find August's army and destroy it too.
August concedes.
Turns out that 80 banelings are pretty good. I actually thought August's attack was going to win the game when Moon's initial defending units were swept away, but there just weren't enough units to finish the job. After that, Moon's economy allowed him to coast to victory.
Game 2 - Lost Temple
Cross positions, August at 3 and Moon at 9
August walls in on the low ground, hatch first for Moon
Command center on about 17 in August's main
Two more barracks for August, zergling speed for Moon
Factory for August, spine crawler for Moon at his natural
Bunker for August at his natural, lair starts for Moon
Starport and a second bunker for August, evolution chamber finishing for Moon
Baneling nest for Moon, siege mode and a tank for August
Spire now for Moon and then baneling speed, zerglings start on the rocks at the gold base
Engineering bay and stim for August
Hatch at the gold now for Moon, August building some turrets and has a viking out harassing overlords
Mutalisks snipe the viking and then head to August's base for harassment
Macro hatch for Moon, burrow researching as well
Armory for August, Moon making a few banelings
Moon is about ten supply ahead, though of course the gold base should kick in soon
August moves out with his army. Moon makes 20 more banelings.
Five tanks, five medivacs, and about two dozen marines for August
Moon darts forward but the tanks are sieged so Moon drops back again
Moon makes another 13 banelings, morphing 38 zerglings as well.
Moon makes another 30 banelings. He's up to 77.
Moon attacks August's army from both sides and crushes it.
August sets up a new siege position that's closer to his base but still in the center of the map
Mutalisks snipe a dropship full of marines.
August adds bunkers to his position, which is strategically irrelevant and very exposed.
Once again Moon sweeps in from both sides and obliterates the army.
Plenty left over to smash through the defenses at August's natural
August surrenders
Well-played by Moon, but August didn't seem to have any idea what he was doing. He moved out to the middle of the map and then waited until Moon ran it over. He rebuilt another army and did it again.
Commentary: Moon is definitely one of the top Code A players and now he'll have a chance for promotion. As with every Code A player, the draw will be important for his chances, but he's got to be considered a favorite at this point. STAugust seemed like a stereotypical Code A player: good fundamentals but not adaptable enough to overcome even small disadvantages in the mid-game.

ButterflyEffect moves out with five tanks and maybe two dozen marines
Lyn stims and moves in a group of infantry. He kills a siege tank but then the force is wiped out.

Lyn takes his entire army and attacks ButterflyEffect's siege line.
ButterflyEffect's huge number of marines smashes Lyn's army and continues into the natural.
Lyn concedes
ButterflyEffect looked like a totally different player from the round of 32. He's also very sharply dressed (it helps he's not wearing a team jersey plastered with logos).
Game 2 - Lost Temple
Close ground positions, ButterflyEffect at 12 and Lyn at 9
ButterflyEffect proxies a second barracks at the gold expansion between the two players
Lyn does a one barracks fast expand
Factory and two bunkers for Lyn, command center for ButterflyEffect at his natural

Siege mode coming for Lyn, who moves down the ramp with a tank, hellion, and marines and easily routs the containing marines
Lyn counters to ButterflyEffect's natural. ButterflyEffect attacks with SCVs in addition to his few infantry units.
The hellion softens everything up and ButterflyEffect loses most of the SCVs he sent in.
Lyn's tank is sieged at ButterflyEffect's natural choke
ButterflyEffect concedes
Losing the containing marines was a big mistake. Just in general I think it's a mistake to do micro-heavy strategies like a two barracks opening against a Warcraft 3 player.
Game 3 - Xel'Naga Caverns
Command center on 19 supply for Lyn in his main, command center on 20 supply at the expansion for ButterflyEffect
Two more barracks for ButterflyEffect, factory for Lyn
Lyn puts a bunker at the top of his ramp for some reason
ButterflyEffect getting stim, scans and sees everything in Lyn's main
Starport for Lyn as well as a tank and siege mode
Second barracks for Lyn who is landing his command center at his natural and putting another bunker there as well

Lyn drops marines at the expansion and attacks the SCVs, but stim isn't quite finished
ButterflyEffect getting a third command center beside his gold
ButterflyEffect takes up a position at Lyn's watchtower
Lyn drops the expansion again but this time there's a siege tank there so it does no damage
For some reason ButterflyEffect unsieges his army when the drop starts, and unfortunately for him Lyn chooses that moment to attack
All the siege tanks are picked off while they are unsieged. Lyn pushes forward.
ButterflyEffect attacks with his marines and kills all of Lyn's marines but the siege tanks wipe everything out.
Lyn pushes towards ButterflyEffect's natural. ButterflyEffect mainly has marines, not marauders, so he has no answer to the siege tanks.
Lyn moves into the natural and ButterflyEffect isn't sieged up. That goes about as well for ButterflyEffect as you'd expect.
ButterflyEffect surrenders.
Well, that's the sort of game you'd expect from the ButterflyEffect given his round of 32 performance. Siege tank positioning is critical and he got caught unsieged twice in this game. Just once would have been enough to lose it.
Commentary: Surprisingly good performance from ButterflyEffect, which is to say that he got beaten pretty badly in two of the games but made nowhere near as many sloppy mistakes as he did against oGsLittleBoy in the round of 32. Lyn is decent but as game 1 showed he's still not a dominating player. He'll have a chance at promotion but he strikes me as being more of a Code A player right now.
