Today (well, yesterday now in South Korea) was the second and final day of qualifiers for GSL 3. Once again, some big names failed to qualify. Unfortunately, the information from the
massive TeamLiquid live thread, which as mentioned yesterday is really the only decent English language resource, wasn't quite as good today. Even so, special thanks to the TL user motbob for putting so much time into those threads.
GSL 3 won't actually start until next week, but check back here in the meantime for thoughts on the players who qualified (hint: not looking good for Protoss), an update of the S Class situation, bracket discussion, and more.
As before, players are divided into groups from which 8 players advance, but really are playing in 64 isolated tournaments, each with a single winner who goes to the GSL 3 round of 64.
